EUROROOFING team visited the SAARGUMMI plant (Germany), which is more than 70 years old!
About the brand:
SAARGUMMI Corporation dates back to the founding of SaarGummiwerk, Helmut Lemm GmbH in 1945 in Germany. The company's history began with the production of rubber products, development and implementation of the most advanced technologies in the field of rubber production and application. Since the 1960s, the company has been producing the most durable roofing membranes under the NovoProof trademark, which have a proven service life of more than 50 years. NovoProof EPDM membranes have the impact and wear resistance properties of rubber tires, high elasticity of rubber (up to 900%!), absolute waterproofness and environmental friendliness.
Our delegation arrived at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (Rhineland-Palatinate).
The hospitality of the plant's employees was a pleasant surprise, we were welcomed with open arms!
Regardless of the degree of training, specialists traditionally take a theoretical course.
After that, we had practice classes.
We have never seen a more pliable, elastic and at the same time durable material. As with any other material, it has its own peculiarities and nuances, which were readily shared with us.
During our visit to the plant, we were able to see the oldest EPDM roof in Germany (over 50 years old!).
Unfortunately, we could not take pictures of the production lines. We were impressed by the factory's size and its level of automatization.
