isoweld™ is a modern induction welding technology for fastening polymeric membranes on flat roofs.
The induction welding method does not require membrane perforation, so the coating remains solid and monolithic.
Reliable fastening is ensured by welding the membrane with special plates anywhere along the body of the membrane sheet; regardless of the membrane overlaps joints.
Numerous field tests and workflow studies show that isoweld™ system can save up to 20% of the total cost of a roof.
Why is there a need for a new fastening technology?

The traditional mechanical system of membrane fastening is more primitive, does not require specialized equipment, but involves drilling/perforating through the membrane, which negatively affects the material durability, wind resistance of the entire roof, and increases the risk for roof tearing under hurricane winds. The traditional mechanical system involves fastening the sheets only along the seams, which negatively affects the wind resistance of the roof.
The isoweld™ innovative system is free of all these disadvantages.
Advantages of the isoweld™ induction fastening system
Mechanical fastening method:

- fastening only parallel to the installation of the membrane
- different widths of membrane rolls are required
- additional fastening of thermal insulation materials
- the need to penetrate, thereby damaging the membrane sheets
- significant width between the rows of fasteners
- fasteners overlaping is reqired to hide the holes, increasing membrane consumption
- large amount of fastening
- a strict dependence of the fasteners installation points on the seams location
Induction welding method:

- fasteners can be installed independently of the membrane seams' location
- membrane rolls of the same width
- does not require additional fastening of thermal insulation materials
- no membrane perforations
- no "flutter" effect; the membrane sheets do not flutter in the wind, there is no dynamic impact on the fasteners
- roof waterproofing can be performed quickly and independently of the fastener installation process
- fast and easy installation
- fewer attachment points
- the highest quality of the joints and fasteners (15 years of warranty)
The advanced isoweld™ induction fastening system replaces the previous simple mechanical fastening system.
An effective fastening is achieved by welding the membrane with special SFS washers. Tests and experience of SFS intec show that using the isoweld™ system saves up to 20% compared to traditional installation methods. Fewer fasteners have a favorable effect on labor and material costs, and also reduce membrane wear during the life cycle of the roof.
Automatic induction welding device isoweld™ 3000
The key element of the isoweld™ system is the isoweld™ 3000 induction welding device. It is used to weld the membrane with the corresponding pressure plates. Numerous functions guarantee high welding quality, including search, control, temperature compensation, and power adjustment.
The isoweld™ 3000 is very user-friendly and allows you to work in an upright position.

The isoweld™ system offers many advantages. Usage convenience is one of them.
The method can be applied to roofs with various types of polymeric membranes, substrates, thermal insulation, and load-bearing coatings, all in various combinations. Fixed or combined fasteners can be used. An additional advantage is the high quality of SFS intec products and the highest level of technical support.
All systems have been developed by SFS intec and are manufactured in the company's factories. The offer includes suitable solutions for various installations. The high-quality products meet the highest requirements and are adjusted to different types of membranes.
The tools developed by SFS intec ensure correct assembly and maximize efficiency. Comprehensive packages complete the entire system.
