Roof construction
Fused waterproofing is only used on flat roofs with a minimum slope angle for water drainage. The smaller the angle, the more layers of top waterproofing coating should be in such roofs.

The standard solution is a two-layer roofing carpet made of surfaced materials.
The technology for the installation of a welded roof is described in detail in the manual for the installation of welded bitumen-polymer materials from the manufacturer that supplies the materials. Based on the manual, our company prepares a Project Execution Plan for a specific construction site, which allows the engineering staff and teams to accurately perform the tasks assigned to them at the site.
Notice: Welded roofs are more demanding to the substrate and weather conditions during installation than any polymer membrane. But it is much more resistant to mechanical damage during the exploitation of the facility.
Rolled waterproofing is laid on the finished layers of vapor barrier and thermal insulation. The base can be a cement-sand screed, prefabricated dry screed made of chipboard, high-density polytherm concrete, flat asbestos-cement slate or chipboard, as well as board insulation made of mineral wool or board PIR (polyisocyanurate).
There is no universal flat roof structure. Only a specialized company, such as EUROROOFING, can execute the best possible flat roof, taking into account the technology of the welded materials.
Over the course of exploitation, natural aging and wear, the welded roof requires regular repairs to eliminate the effects of mechanical damage or partially renew the coating.

- The growth of vegetation;
- Cracks and tears.
When performing localized repairs, it is often possible to get away with installing a patch at the site of damage or renovating the welding seam.
However, in order to determine the need for maintenance, you need a specialist assessment.
If less than 40% of the total roof surface is damaged, minor maintenance is required. If the area is larger, a complete replacement of the coating or a major maintenance with vapor and thermal insulation replacement is required.

Welded roofs can be installed over old soft roofing. Before installation, it is necessary to eliminate defects in the roofing carpet - remove bubbles, melt unevenness, and dry the surface.
The main defects of a welded roof
Slipping of the ruberoid
Usually, the reason is insufficient heat resistance of the material. In the summer, the material heats up to 80°C and at this temperature it ages faster, loses its heat resistance, and the binder component can "float". Another common mistake is welding the roof along the ridge on roofs with a slope of more than 10%. Normally, on slopes, rolled roofing must be additionally fixed mechanically, but for this purpose the material must have special reinforcement.
Bloating
Air and water "bags" on the roofing carpet. They appear because the roofing carpet was welded onto a damp substrate or the temperature and humidity conditions were violated during installation. The vapor barrier may be damaged, missing or incorrectly selected. You may notice that the air bag inflates on a hot day and deflates on a cold day. Small cracks appear at the edge of the bubble.
Cracks and microcracks
The formation of cracks is most often caused by the absence of properly calculated or arranged expansion joints, which should remove excessive stress of the roofing material. Also, cracks can form under the influence of ultraviolet radiation in the upper layer, and especially when there is no special protective layer.
Detachment
Sometimes a roofing carpet peels off from the substrate or another layer. This always happens due to installation errors, when the bottom layer is not properly heated, glued to a dirty or damp surface, and the screed is not primed sufficiently.
