General information about EPDM synthetic rubber
Synthetic rubber (EPDM - ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) has a history of more than 100 years and is still in demand in various industries.
The most common material in construction is waterproofing, as it has unique properties and maximum durability. EPDM membranes are used for waterproofing of flat roofs, building foundations, open and closed tanks, and water reservoirs.
This type of material is distinguished by its high wear resistance and always belongs to the premium segment, so if you want to achieve optimal cost efficiency for your project, EPDM membranes are not an option, EPDM is the highest quality at the right price.
EPDM membranes associate with high-quality rubber for automobile tires. Extreme wear resistance, elasticity, permanent flexibility even at extreme negative temperatures, and resistance to high temperatures.

The production of rubber began in the early twentieth century, more than 100 years ago. EPDM (artificial rubber) - was the first in the world to be used as a membrane for waterproofing roofs. The EPDM membrane does not contain plasticizers, halogens, PVC and other components that can be released from the material structure throughout the entire service life of the material, so EPDM is considered the most environmentally friendly membrane. EPDM membranes are safe for the environment, plants, and fish. They have anti-root properties without the addition of fungicides, herbicides, and preventol to the material.

Resistance to aggressive environment. EPDM membranes can withstand direct contact with many aggressive substances, oils, fats, and petroleum products without any consequences. EPDM membrane is one of the most resistant membranes after PIB (polyisobutylene).
EPDM is characterized by oil and gasoline resistance, chemical resistance, and compatibility with all types of building materials. It is also worth noting that the presence of standing water does not affect the service life of the material, and zero slopes are allowed.
High temperature resistance. EPDM membranes do not melt when exposed to fire, scale, or a direct heat source, unlike thermoplastics. It takes much longer to ignite an EPDM membrane.
The elasticity of the EPDM is more than 350%! The EPDM membrane is able to withstand any deformation, this material is indispensable for the construction of expansion/compensation joints, there are no analogues with such specifics.
High wear resistance. EPDM membranes are better than other materials at withstanding repeated dynamic impact, base displacement, friction, and constant foot traffic. An analog of the material is automobile tires, which have the same base - EPDM.
The longest warranty for a material we know of. The proven service life of the material of more than 50 years of trouble-free operation and preservation of all properties allows the manufacturer to provide a long-term warranty for EPDM membranes - from 16 to 25 years.
