Green roofing is a modern technology, a healthy trend with maximum investment efficiency. We have been using green roofing technology since 2012 to create green roofs as a contractor, which allows us to fully ensure the vital activity of plants on the roof surface of the building. It involves the creation of a multi-layer roofing system (with an anti-root film, moisture storage mat, drainage, filtration system, soil substrate and the plants themselves).

Roof greening systems
Extensive greening. In Ukraine, we select the best low-maintenance plants for this type of greening (sidum, lawn grasses), as such green roofs do not require maintenance and are designed for very rare maintenance.
Typically, these are pitched roofs or with a slope of more than 15%.
The height of the greening system for such roofs is 110-140 mm, the weight of the system in a water-saturated state is 165-180 kg/sq.m.
Intensive greening. Flat roofs, roofs of parking lots, restaurants, residential complexes, where you can create a roof garden, apply an individual design, divide the roof into different functional areas. Cars drive on such roofs, people walk on them, and they do not differ much from the natural landscape of a park or a private garden. Such roofs require regular maintenance and watering, plants can vary without restrictions: lawn grass, bushes of different sizes, trees.
You can use any plants common in our region that the building's supporting structure can withstand (from tulips to rose hips and conifers). They require regular maintenance (watering, weeding, pruning, feeding). When creating intensive landscaping, the cost of a green roof automatically includes the installation of parapets, fences, and other safety features that guarantee the safety of visitors' lives and health.
The height of the greening system for such roofs is 220-800 mm, the weight of the system in the water-saturated state is 330-1100 kg/m2.
Semi-intensive greening. Roofs where you can create a design or functionally divide it into zones. Such roofs require periodic maintenance and watering. Plants: grasses, cereals, bushes. Such roofs can be walked on, but not everywhere due to their technical features or weight load.
The height of the landscaping system for such roofs is 80-350 mm, the weight of the system in the water-saturated state is 120-665 kg/sq.m.
Such roofs are called "Blooming Meadow" or "Rock Garden".
Requirements for a green roof installation
Do you want to green your roof? We'll tell you what you need:
- The roof with a slope from 1.5° to 35°, occasionally we had to deal with roofs with a slope of less than 1.5°. We know what technology to use to make plants grow and develop on the roof.
- The shape of the roof can be flat, gable, curved, single-pitched, terraced, cylindrical, as long as its slope does not exceed 35°.
- According to the technology, the roof can be either warm or inverted.
- Bearing structure: reinforced concrete, wooden, and shaped steel.
- The roof must have a water inlet of any type. Ideally, you should have a water inlet with a diameter of 100 mm for every 200 square meters.
- The roof should have parapets from 150 mm to 1500 mm, depending on the type of landscaping on the roof.
- The weight load of the roof for landscaping should be from 120 to 1200 kg, depending on the chosen green roof type. It is also possible to select landscaping for the existing load. These load parameters do not include wind, snow and variable loads.
